Why did you run for this position?
World domination – being President of the Law Society is a stepping stone.

But… I do have other reasons.

I’m an international student, and a couple of years ago the thought of crossing the ocean to study law TERRIFIED ME. When I arrived at Warwick the Law Society facilitated my assimilation. They were there for help, support, and guidance. I was truly affected by the passion and dedication both Natasha and Adam in the years before me displayed as presidents. After serving as Editor of Obiter Dicta last year, I felt I possessed the experience and passion to serve as president. Evidently, you guys thought so too! That… or my little brother’s Justin Bieber rip off convinced you.

Describe your role in the Law Society
I tell people what to do.

Naaaat.

Every person on the executive committee is absolutely instrumental in ensuring that we provide law students with exciting extra curricular activities. I oversee all departments and ensure fluidity and coherence within the executive committee. I also, along with my treasurer, and general secretary am responsible for bringing you a spectacular Law Ball 2011. We’ve started planning… get E X C I T E D.

Career aspirations
Commercial/ Corporate law.

Describe yourself in 5 words
I do what I want

What hobbies do you enjoy?
Basketball! Warwick Women’s 1st team :D (The fact that I’m only 5’4 doesn’t matter )

Shopping… Robson street in Vancouver… if ever there was a paradise…

Also love going to the beach, hanging out with my friends, and just generally chillaxing.

Favourite place to be:
Place doesn’t matter - people matter. As long as I’m with loved ones I’m happy.

Favourite song:
All Falls Down – Kanye West

+ everything else Kanye

His ego is pretty extreme, but his music warrants it.

Who / What inspires you?
My parents, they’re kind of amazing.

Best memory of last year.
I've got a couple.

Law Ball 2010; IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!

A very interesting post champagne curry with Adam, James, Sahir, and the Chef.

And… last but definitely not least – dirty duck last year with all my boys waiting for election results and finding out I had won presidency.

Best piece of advice for freshers:
Past exam papers, selective learning, and seminar attendance will u get a solid mark. Just don’t start a week before exams like our general secretary… give yourself a solid 2 weeks. Joooooking! Study consistently, but party consistently. Make the most of your time at university - you only get it once. (Unless you fail)

Any final words?
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
