Warwick Law Society

Warwick Law Society's Mentoring Scheme

As Internal affairs officer, Becky Guy is responsible for providing the 'mentoring scheme'. This scheme pairs up a current student (the Mentor) with a new student (the Mentee). The Mentor then acts as a source of support for the Mentee on a range of issues such as essays, exams, adjusting to life at university, module choices and personal issues.

This service is strongly recommended for every new student, and due to its success in the past, is a guaranteed anchor for every individual starting a law degree.

Wright Hassall Mentoring Scheme

Wright Hassall LLP is a 200-strong solicitors based in Leamington Spa. We are a team of experienced professionals serve the legal needs of both business and individual clients across the country and the Legal 500 Guide classes Wright Hassall as “a leading practice” in the West Midlands. Despite the size, diversity and commercial outlook of the modern firm, we continue to play our part in the local business community and our connections in the area remain as strong as ever. Consequently we can boast high-calibre lawyers attracted not only by the quality of the work we offer but also by an environment that is considerably more agreeable than many of the city centres they've relocated from.

This year Wright Hassall are offering Mentors to 8 Warwick Law Students in ANY YEAR but that HAVE NOT YET GOT A TRAINING CONTRACT. This scheme is for students who feel they could benefit from having a mentor at either trainee, newly qualified or even partner level within the firm who will be able to give them fantastic advice on CV’s, covering letters, training contract applications and offer potential work experience. This is an amazing opportunity which I am sure there will be much competition for.

To apply please write 250 words (max) on why you want a mentor and send it to me at internal@warwicklawsociety.com by the 30th October!
