Feedback or marks will be available sometime in week 1 or 2, via a drop-in session in the law common room. Details of this will be posted on the law soc website, so keep checking up so you don't miss it, as it will be the only opportunity for feedback!
About Mooting
A moot is a mock trial, which is centred on a point of legal (as opposed to factual) contention. In order to win the moot, the judge will look at the quality of the legal arguments present, the skills of advocacy deployed and responsiveness to legal questioning. It is therefore entirely possible to loose the legal arguments, but still be declared the winner of the moot.
Last year has been the most successful year in the mooting programme here at Warwick, with a record number of students getting involved in the internal mooting competition, and with Warwick students coming consistently well in external competitions. These are just two reasons why we advise all students of law at this university to join this branch of the Law Society.
