"Exclusive Law Society Event, Monday 7th December – For Second Year Law Undergraduates to Apply.
Warwick Law Society has been approached to help find the 100 most
promising lawyers of the future. Successful applicants will be able to
meet recruiters from leading law firms at an exclusive evening network
event at The Law Society in December.
Every year Bright personally selects 100 of the very best second year law undergraduates and introduces them to their partners (Slaughter & May, Allen & Overy and Kirkland & Ellis) at an exclusive networking event at The Law Society. Unlike big, brash and often faceless ‘careers events’ Bright Network evenings are select, invitation only and have an emphasis on quality over quantity. As a future leading lawyer you get to personally meet partners and recruiters from select firms. Firms also see your CV in advance of the event as one of just 100 who have been chosen. You can also put your membership of the Network on your CV. Bright are eager to receive applications from current 2nd year law undergraduates studying at Warwick.
Applying is easy, just email your CV to apply@brightnetwork.co.uk asap and one of the Bright team will contact you to arrange a 15 minute phone interview."

A&O GAME ON
18/09

Have you got what it takes to play 'A&O GAME ON' and win £1,500?
A&O Game On www.aograduate.com/gameon is our exciting online business challenge designed to provide a practical insight into commercial law and the skills you need to become a successful solicitor.
A&O Game On is open to all UK undergraduates and is for teams of up to 4 people. Over the coming months, we will release a new challenge every few weeks. Each module will focus on either the commercial aspects of the work we do, or the key skills assessed during our selection process. You will even have the opportunity to practice some of the skills we look for at interview. Throughout the challenge, you will hear from a number of A&O partners and staff who will provide helpful advice to guide you through the task. Modules will be marked by our panel of A&O judges and our leader board will keep track of each team's position.
At the end of the online competition, the top 5 teams will be invited to our Bishops Square office in April 2010, to take part in the Grand Final. On the day, teams will compete in a business simulation exercise and the winning team will be awarded £1,500. There will also be some spot prizes as the online challenge progresses.
You can enter your team at any time up to 26th March 2010, but you do have to have completed all five modules to be in with a chance of securing a place in the Final.
A&O Game On launches in October 2009 at www.aograduate.com/gameon and the first task is a short quiz about Allen & Overy. If you have read our brochure, visited our website or attended an event recently you should be well on the way to answering the questions, but you might need to do a bit of research to tackle the other questions.
Good luck!
Visit www.aograduate.com/gameon to register your team and to start playing A&O Game On.
